I notice books like Line of Fire fast because I am always looking for voice, shape, and a sense that the book knows what it is doing, not bland competence.

When a book in this category works, it feels intentional from page one. That is the bar I would bring to this one too.

If it lands, this is the sort of book I would talk about with my whole chest instead of a careful little disclaimer. Bloomsbury USA has it listed for 10-Jun-2025.
